What is rake?

Rake is a fee that an online poker room charges for providing a service. Unlike other casino games, in poker you don’t play against the house; rake is used to generate revenue for poker rooms. In ring games, this fee is collected at the end of every hand and called rake. In tournaments this fee is collected before the tournament starts and consists of your tournament entry fee. Tournament fees are also referred to as “juice”.
